One of my favorite home remedies for acne or rather component of home remedies and masks is aloe vera.  Aloe vera can be easily found through plants you grow at home or in the grocery store in small bottles.  But either way, wherever you get it, aloe vera actually accelerates the rate at which your skin heals itself.  That is why it is so effective in calming sunburns, it helps your skin to regenerate greater levels of skin cells and otherwise give you the benefits you actually want.  Obviously, it’s not at all irritating or anything like that.  So that definitely helps you to avoid that problem. 

But in terms of acne, it helps you to heal the skin so that it doesn’t produce nasty acne scars while also helping you do undo damage that has already been done by the zit itself.  It has mild antibacterial properties.  So it could also help you to get rid of zits in that way, and aloe vera has been used in hundreds of options for all these reasons.  When combined with something that is what you could call a normal antibacterial or otherwise, it of course makes greater contributions as a whole.
